Can You Tell Our Readers A Little About Yourself?
I began my career in sales and worked my way from the front lines in business to the executive boardroom. I believe that everyone is in sales and everyone is responsible for delivering world class service regardless of title or position. I spent nearly two decades as part of a leadership team that built a little-known family business into the #1 franchise in their industry with annual revenues exceeding $2 billion dollars. In 2017, I retired from corporate America to take my message around the world.

My clients include Accelerent, Delta Airlines, TransAmerica, Allianz, ExxonMobil, Helzberg Diamonds, State Farm, Northwestern Mutual, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Rockwell Collins. I have also been fortunate enough to be a featured keynote speaker at the President's National Prayer Breakfast CEO Forum.

What do you think is the most important quality for a business leader to have in 2017 and why?
Two things. First, true leadership begins with self-mastery. You are a leader of one or a leader of none. We reproduce what we are and unless you continue to grow, stretch and become more than you are today, you have nothing to offer those you lead. Secondly, you must be a builder of people. You build people by creating a culture where people can be the best version of themselves. A culture that feeds innovation, creativity and energy by drawing out the unique talents, gifs and abilities that reside within each person you lead.
