How has Accelerent helped your business?

We joined the Accelerent Partnership with no expectations for closing new business in year one of our three year Agreement. However, we were able to achieve a 20% jump in growth from introductions made by our new Partners.

How much business have you give and received with Accelerent?

In the first year, we made at least a dozen quality introductions to our Accelerent Partners. Half of those introductions were converted to new business. We were able to onboard a similar number of new clients as a result of the relationships we built with  our Accelerent Partners.

What advice do you have for new or prospective Accelerent Partners?

We encourage prospective partners to join Accelerent when they have the opportunity. Once you’re a partner, roll up your sleeves and start playing. Engage with other partners, listen to their needs, and find ways to help them acquire new business through impactful introductions and referrals. If you make it about them, they’re going to make it about you.

What advice do you have for new or prospective Accelerent Partners?

Show up as the owner of your business and engage with the partners. Learn about their companies and tell them about your business. Build relationships. Open doors and help out. Take advantage of any opportunity to make a connection for a partner. Your team will follow. Accelerent is full of great partners and great business leaders, many of whom have become friends.

We have been able to warmly introduce Accelerent Partners to my best relationships. We look forward to hearing if these opportunities will turn into new business for them. It is great to have solid resources to introduce to my clients and prospects, helping them in more ways than just the construction segment.

 
What do you think has been your key to success in Accelerent?

Simply said, do what you say you’re going to do. In my opinion there’s a lot of people in this world not following up with what they say they’re going to do. It's a simple motto “Do what you say”.

 
What advice do you have for other Accelerent Partners or prospective Accelerent Partners?

I have been lucky to earn new opportunities early on during my time with Accelerent. It is important to know that you must give it time. Be present at the meetings and interact with the Partners. As people get more familiar with you, things will start to happen.




The Indiana Pacers have been a fixture on the Indiana sports scene since 1967 and Pacers Sports & Entertainment is one of Indiana’s largest entertainment industry companies.

How Accelerent helps build business:

It’s a given that when we invest the time, Accelerent helps to quickly develop strong relationships in the business community, by being intentional. For us, these relationships have developed through weekly group and one on one meetings that have led to $500,000 in new business, in just a year and a half. To my surprise though, we have also seen an acceleration in the learning curve of our sales team. By investing time, asking questions and giving to our Partners in Accelerent, our reps have gained a better knowledge of how other industries operate and how relationships lead to more efficient prospecting. We also have been able to provide Accelerent Partners access to our Pacers Business Alliance, as well as, Pacers Suites that have allowed partners to generate new leads and close over $200k in new business for them.

 
What advice do you have for other Accelerent Partners or prospective Accelerent Partners?

There is a lot you can learn by taking the time to listen and ask questions with Accelerent Partners. The more you understand their business and them as a person, the easier it is to be intentional about making introductions. When possible, make those introductions in person. Here with the Pacers, we are lucky to have a venue and platform that allows us to make these introductions in a unique way for our partners. We realize not everyone has that opportunity, however, our biggest sale from Accelerent came from an in-person introduction made over a casual dinner. Simple, in-person, introductions work.




Children's Bureau is a private non-profit whose mission is to preserve families and protect children from abuse and neglect.

First and foremost, its focus is to prevent child abuse by educating communities about risk issues and working with parents to provide assistance before abuse or neglect occurs. The agency also offers an array of services to protect kids in the child welfare system. Annie Martinez, Vice President of Development, recently shared how being an Accelerent Partner has contributed to their success.

How Accelerent helps build business:

Since becoming an Accelerent Partner, Children's Bureau has secured six new corporate partners. These companies have provided unrestricted gifts, event sponsorships and gifts in kind of product or services. These partners enjoy recurring brand recognition on digital and print mediums, first access to our special events and customized volunteer experiences that demonstrate its corporate social responsibility. In addition to fundraising support, Accelerent Partners have been instrumental in communicating Children's Bureau impact and introducing many area business leaders to the agency's mission.

We have provided Partner companies approximately $200,000 in new business and expect this number to significantly increase in the coming year.

 
Advice for prospective Partners:

Create personal relationships so you are comfortable in making new introductions for Accelerent Partners. A successful approach for us has been to encourage Accelerent Partners to discover the Children’s Bureau community impact first-hand through our monthly meet-and-greets. That has been a great way to foster relationships and help spread the word about our mission.
