Our vision is simple. Within each local market, we interview and select the right companies to join us in creating a strategic and efficiently managed platform where decision-makers can build relationships with other decision-makers for the sole purpose of growing their respective companies. Since each Accelerent partner is exclusive in their business category, they can “tell their story” and build new relationships without competitive clutter.
In short, we’ve found that business development can be a little like buying a car. As soon as you buy a new model, you notice them everywhere. It’s not that they weren’t there before; you just didn’t see them. The same applies to business opportunities. If you meet other business leaders and tell them what you do, why your company is the best, and what your target customer or opportunity looks like, they will see those opportunities everywhere. More importantly, when they do see them, they know where to send them to you.
Although most of our partners are middle market companies, our clientele typically ranges from locally owned companies with revenues of $10 million to Fortune 100 firms with revenues approaching $20 billion. Some are public, some are private, and the diversity of industries ranges from insurance, banking and construction, to custom clothing, jewelry and automotive. At maturity, each of our markets will have one partner in each of 50-60 different industry segments. With almost every possible industry represented in a given market, our partners can be assured that there is no shortage of other companies, and relationships, to help them generate new business.
Our management team has a diverse background, from Big 4 public accounting and consulting to investment banking, logistics, commercial real estate, national retail, and professional sports sales and marketing. We have held positions with Arthur Andersen, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, FedEx, and Merrill Lynch, among others. This varied background allows our executives to be especially effective in helping our clients achieve their objectives, regardless of their industry.
