    What Our Clients Are Saying

    • HARTMAN EXECUTIVE ADVISORS

“For me, it’s the relationships with the other Accelerent partners that makes the difference.  Through the Accelerent platform, we’ve been able to forge meaningful personal and professional relationships with the owners of dozens of growing and thriving Baltimore area businesses.   Once you develop connections at that level, the potential for meaningful partnerships and mutual business opportunities are limitless.”

DAVE HARTMAN, PRESIDENT - HARTMAN EXECUTIVE ADVISORS
    • WHITEFORD

“There is no substitute for having a network of truly trusted friends who you can turn to when your business confronts a challenge. Accelerent has given us that broad network and it has already helped us in extremely valuable ways."

MARTIN T. FLETCHER, MANAGING PARTNER - WHITEFORD
    • WESTPOINT PRIVATE CLIENT GROUP

When I was first approached about joining Accelerent, I was very impressed with its platform, and I am pleased that my decision to be a Partner has been most successful!

Your group is very diligent about listening to our business needs and helping WestPoint to achieve our outlined goals. In the first six months I have added new clientele and prospects because of Accelerent introductions. These clients will help contribute to our bottom line today, and for many years to come.

Thank you for all you do! I look forward to many more years of working together!

SCOTT ECKART, PARTNER - WESTPOINT PRIVATE CLIENT GROUP
    • DINA WASMER, PRESIDENT - INCITE CREATIVE

Accelerent is more than a networking group. It is an environment of professionals and trusted advisors who strive to build genuine relationships. I regularly generate ongoing business for them. During my first year as an Accelerent partner, we closed $120,000 of bottom-line profit resulting from Accelerent-generated business. We have consistently exceeded those numbers for more than ten years, except for year three. We tripled that number in 2020 despite the pandemic.

DINA WASMER, PRESIDENT - INCITE CREATIVE
    • ANDY ATTMAN, VICE PRESIDENT - ACME PAPER & SUPPLY CO. INC.

In three short years as part of Accelerent Baltimore we’ve received over 20 new opportunities. That has equated to over $180,000 in sales over the last 12 months alone. We are working on a potential of $500,000 worth of additional annual business as well.

The key to growing the business really falls onto giving out opportunities to our Partners. We have given out slightly more than a 1-1 ratio in possible business connections but I am striving to be closer to a 2-1 ratio.

ANDY ATTMAN, VICE PRESIDENT - ACME PAPER & SUPPLY CO. INC.
    • MARCIA BARNES - VALVE+METER PERFORMANCE MARKETING

We provided more than 160 introductions in our first year alone, taking advantage of opportunities to solve clients’ issues and make ourselves look like rock stars. In return, we’ve received hundreds of introductions to date. Where we usually would expect to see 10x ROI in the B2B space, we’ve seen 50 to 70x returns through our partnerships at Accelerent.

MARCIA BARNES - VALVE+METER PERFORMANCE MARKETING
    • JUSTIN RAMQUIST - INDIANA PACERS

It’s a given that when we invest the time, Accelerent helps to quickly develop strong relationships in the business community, by being intentional. For us, these relationships have developed through weekly group and one on one meetings that have led to $500,000 in new business, in just a year and a half. To my surprise though, we have also seen an acceleration in the learning curve of our sales team. By investing time, asking questions and giving to our Partners in Accelerent, our reps have gained a better knowledge of how other industries operate and how relationships lead to more efficient prospecting. We also have been able to provide Accelerent Partners access to our Pacers Business Alliance, as well as, Pacers Suites that have allowed partners to generate new leads and close over $200k in new business for them.

      JUSTIN RAMQUIST - INDIANA PACERS
    • ANNIE MARTINEZ, VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT - FIREFLY CHILDREN & FAMILY ALLIANCE

Since becoming an Accelerent Partner, Firefly Children & Family Alliance has secured six new corporate partners. These companies have provided unrestricted gifts, event sponsorships and gifts in kind of product or services. These partners enjoy recurring brand recognition on digital and print mediums, first access to our special events and customized volunteer experiences that demonstrate its corporate social responsibility. In addition to fundraising support, Accelerent Partners have been instrumental in communicating Firefly Children & Family Alliance's impact and introducing many area business leaders to the agency's mission.

ANNIE MARTINEZ, VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT - FIREFLY CHILDREN & FAMILY ALLIANCE
    • JEFF JENNEY, VICE PRESIDENT / GENERAL MANAGER - VAN AUSDALL & FARRAR, INC.

In just the two short years that we have been an Accelerent Partner we have received $300,000 in business, plus more in the pipeline. We have given $250,000 in business to other Partners.

JEFF JENNEY, VICE PRESIDENT / GENERAL MANAGER - VAN AUSDALL & FARRAR, INC.
    • WATCHMEN SECURITY SERVICES - LUCAS AND MEGAN INGALA, OWNERS

The most valuable key that has helped build our business has been the relationships that have begun through Accelerent. They truly are priceless relationships. Within the first year of becoming a Partner, we had already seen a 100% return on the investment we made into the group. The trusted Partners that we have developed through this group will last a lifetime, and I don’t believe you can put a value on that. In our first three years of being an Accelerent Partner, our ROI has been 10 fold. We’ve given business to numerous partners and are always looking for ways to give back.

WATCHMEN SECURITY SERVICES - LUCAS AND MEGAN INGALA, OWNERS
    • CHRIS GUANCE, DIVISION PRESIDENT - SUMMERONE

Just in our first year as an Accelerent Partner, we have received over $185k in business referred by other Partners. Having a “give to get” mentality isn’t just a saying with our team; it’s our passion and something we practice constantly as part of Accelerent. We regularly look for opportunities and discuss internally how we can help Accelerent Partners. In fact, of the $200k we’ve helped Partners close, a large percentage was “unsolicited” by the Partner.

CHRIS GUANCE, DIVISION PRESIDENT - SUMMERONE
    • JOHN DELEON, VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES - MTI EVENTS

MTI Events has received over $1 million in new business from its partnership with Accelerent. We have given several leads and introductions to our Accelerent Partners that has led to new relationships, opportunities and business. Remember, "In life – if you give, you get. If you give your time, energy and guidance, you will get much in return.

JOHN DELEON, VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES - MTI EVENTS
    • JEFF EMMONS, OWNER - IMMEDIA INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGIES

Immedia joined Accelerent in September 2016 and quickly aligned with several Accelerent Partners who target similar clients and projects. In one 5 months period we have identified more than $2 million of new opportunities and received contracts for more than $1 million of new work. It is hard to quantify the amount of business that we have referred, however, we have had several people on our sales team that have invited Accelerent Partners to attend joint sales calls and both companies have gotten traction from cross selling. A few of our best clients have begun working with Accelerent Partners.

JEFF EMMONS, OWNER - IMMEDIA INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGIES
    • LEON CERNA, PRESIDENT - HR ADVANTAGE

Accelerent has helped our Business in a couple of significant ways. The experience has been highly motivating for me, but it’s also been helpful for my team as it’s less of a high-pressure sales method. It’s about developing relationships, which is the foundation of our work in HR and how we conduct business in general. Accelerent provides that, 100%.

We’ve received approximately $50,000 of recurring revenue so far during our engagement. There are opportunities for that to grow as we continue to add services with these clients. I also feel very optimistic about our pipeline’s prospects and growth potential. For example, we have a piece of pending business that came from an Accelerent Partner introduction that will likely be around $20,000 in new revenue.

LEON CERNA, PRESIDENT - HR ADVANTAGE

Find. A. Way. Three simple words, yet when composed in a sentence, Merril Hoge has proven that these can be the most powerful words in the English language. “Find. A. Way.” helped Merril beat cancer, overcome family tragedies, triumph childhood traumas and conquer his personal demons.

A retired NFL running back and former ESPN analyst, Merril inspires audiences with his story of prevailing over life’s hurdles through strength and determination while achieving success through hard work and perseverance. He began his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, eventually joining the Chicago Bears before retiring from improper care of head trauma. During his tenure as an ESPN analyst and host, he was well-known for his sharp insights and knowledge of the game.

In 2003, Merril was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which he fought – and beat – using the same tenacity he demonstrated on the field. He shares his moving story in his memoir Find a Way: Three Words That Changed My Life. In 2018, Merril published his provocative book Brainwashed: The Bad Science Behind CTE and the Plot to Destroy Football.

In 2014, Noelle was awarded the US Olympics iconic “Moment of the Games” when she jumped into the stands to embrace her family after winning the Olympic Silver Medal in the sport of skeleton. It was not an easy road for Noelle to reach her success, having to face seemingly insurmountable obstacles along the way. As the #1 skeleton racer in the world in 2005, she was hit by a bobsled in a tragic accident that cost her her spot in the 2006 Torino games. Through hard work, hope and determination, Noelle made a comeback the following year to become the 1st American woman to win World Championships, and she did it by the largest margin in the history of the sport. She went on to compete in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, before earning the silver medal in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (Ret.) was the Commanding Officer of the USS Cole when it came under a suicide terrorist attack by al Qaeda in the port of Aden, Yemen. During his command, he and his crew distinguished themselves by saving the American war ship from sinking. This event is widely recognized as one of the most brazen acts of terrorism by al Qaeda prior to September 11, 2001. With this unique and invaluable experience, Commander Lippold has briefed over 5,000 military officers and given over 200 presentations on this seminal event in the war on terrorism.

Commander Kirk Lippold's assignments prior to the USS Cole included Executive Officer of USS SHILOH, an Aegis-class guided missile cruiser. His department head tour was unique in his assignment to the crew that commissioned USS Arleigh Burke, the Navy's first Aegis guided missile destroyer. He served as the Operations Officer responsible for the training and operation of a next generation $1 billion warship with a crew of over 300 Sailors. He had two division officer assignments, which included a tour on USS Yorktown, an Aegis class guided missile cruiser. There, he completed a lengthy seven and a half month deployment to the Mediterranean, where he participated in the Achille Lauro aircraft seizure, Black Sea Freedom of Navigation operations against the Soviet Union, and Attain III combat operations in the Gulf of Sidra off Libya that followed several Libyan sponsored terrorist attacks in Europe. His initial division officer tour was in USS Fairfax County, a tank landing ship, where he completed a deployment to Beirut, Lebanon, in support of the US Marine Corps and the Multinational Peacekeeping Force when terrorists attacked the American Embassy and severely damaged it.

Commander Kirk Lippold is a graduate of the US Naval Academy, and received his commission in the Navy in 1981. He attended the Navy Postgraduate School from 1987 to 1989 where he received a Masters of Science in Systems Engineering (Joint Command, Control and Communications). He is a 1994 graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College and is also a 2001 graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College. He has also served as the Administrative Aide to the Secretary of the Navy. He recently served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Directorate for Strategic Plans and Policy (J-5), where he was instrumental in crafting detainee policy for the war on terrorism during its initial stages following the 9/11 attacks. His last assignment was in the International Strategy Division in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (N5IS).

Commander Kirk Lippold's personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (three awards), Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (two awards), in addition to various campaign and service ribbons.

Currently, Commander Lippold is the president of Lippold Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in executive leadership development, strategic planning and training programs, and crisis management. Col. Mark Tillman

Air Force One Commander on 9/11

Chosen as the nation’s 12th Presidential pilot, Colonel (ret) Mark W. Tillman served as pilot and commander of Air Force One from 2001-2009. Col. Tillman was at the controls of Air Force One through numerous national events. Most notably, he protected the President on September 11, 2001 by keeping him out of harms way and connecting the flying oval office to the nation’s first responders. Another historic event was being the first pilot to fly the Commander-in-Chief into a war zone. The challenge was unprecedented--transport the most targeted man in the world into the heart of terrorism. One mistake would have left the President open to attack and cost the lives of US service members. Col. Tillman personally orchestrated and executed the covert operation with flawless success. His planning, done in complete secrecy, allowed for a complete surprise to the entire world. Col. Tillman’s distinguished career spans 30 years in the United States Air Force. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in 2004 and promoted to Brigadier General by the President of the United States—the first military line officer to receive this honor. A man devoted to serving his country, this captivating storyteller will give you a first-hand account of remarkable moments in history.

Gian Paul Gonzalez is widely recognized for inspiring the New York Giants to their 2012 Super Bowl victory with the phrase “All In.”

Gian Paul Gonzalez is widely recognized for inspiring the New York Giants to their 2012 Super Bowl victory with the phrase “All In.”Gonzalez, a high school teacher in Union City, N.J., was asked to lead a chapel service for members of the New York Giants team the night before the team’s Christmas Eve 2011 game against the New York Jets. To illustrate the concept of commitment, Gonzalez handed each football player a poker chip. Instructing the players to write their number on one side of the chip and write what they wanted to be committed to on the other side. He then shared with the team the meaning behind the poker phrase “All In”. Gian Paul inspired them to be committed and put all their “chips” on the table. He went on to urge players to fully commit to anything they take on, whether as a father, husband, son or even, a football player. The team went on to win every game, up to and including Super Bowl XLVI, where they beat the New England Patriots 21-17.

Gian Paul Gonzalez is himself an inspiration. He was a former NCAA First Team All-American forward from Montclair State University scoring nearly 1,400 points in his 3 year career. Played in the NBA Summer League in 2007 and was offered a few professional basketball contracts, yet he turned them down in order to continue his work with at-risk youth. He is a gifted motivational speaker and is the founder of Hope + Future. This organization is dedicated to using athletics & physical fitness to share a message of hope and striving for excellence in inner-city public schools and juvenile jails.

The Hope + Future Foundation provides opportunities for youth to proactively become empowered members of their community. Hope + Future uses extracurricular activities, events and programming to provide health, and wellness education while bridging the gaps between individual growth and improving families. This unifies communities around a common core belief that there is a hope for each child personally, academically, socially, and economically.

“ALL IN’ is not a slogan, it’s a LIFEstyle.

He has been featured on ESPN as well as had notable appearances on Fox News and CNN. His inspirational talks have made him an internationally renowned speaker for NBA, NFL, English Premiere League & Fortune 500 organizations.
